In this episode, we tackle the hardest and very WORST thing we’ve ever done to the boat – And that’s including numerous rough passages. We embark on the “removing our rotted starboard bulkhead and replacing it with a new one using fiberglass” project, and to our dismay discover it’s just as nasty as the critics have warned. It also proves a particularly challenging project to do while living at anchor towards the end of the USA’s east coast boating season. In the end, we greatly underestimated how bad this job was, and before we knew what was happening, found ourselves with a giant mess, towards the end of October, exactly when we should have been beginning to make miles south.
