BOOBIES! Exotic Bird Island, Bocas Del Toro Panama (Calico Skies Sailing, Ep. 111)

When out and about on a dinghy explore near Starfish Beach, Bocas del Toro, Panama we did not expect to stumble on a place that looks exactly like a postcard for a remote island in South East Asia, but we did! Breathtaking Bird Island, rising up out of nowhere with thousands of birds flying in out up and around it. Totally exotic and gorgeous.
It’s often hard to land the dinghy in super cool places like these but this time it wasn’t too bad and there was even a small beach to hang out on, snap pictures and take in the sunshine when the morning cloud cover finally lifted.
The ending to our delightful day was equally as impressive as exotic Bird Island: We spotted our first Sloth ashore at Starfish Beach and were totally blown away for a second time in one day! Pictures absolutely do not do these adorable guys justice and I may have lost my mind just a little bit.
Being back into the full swing of cruising and a life on the hook means hanging out with friends for sundowners while watching the sunset which is exactly what we did post our epic Sloth sighting 🙂
