Birds of a Feather (Calico Skies Sailing Ep. 35)
January 08, 2020 by Calico Skies Sailing | Language: EN Play Time: 00:12:48 | SAILING YOUTUBERS

They say Birds of a Feather Flock Together and that’s exactly what transpires in this episode! We are lucky to cross paths with Dan and Kika of @Sailing Uma and like it often happens in the cruising lifestyle we become friends quickly and get right to the business of having fun. Together we enjoy an afternoon of skurfing and later enjoy sundowners. Bill and I are honored to sample the fabled S/V Delos Moonshine (or is it Bilge Rum?) and it’s an experience we won’t soon forget!
Later, I’m (Grace) feeling inspired by Kika’s determination and decide to attempt skurfing for the very first time and am pleasantly surprised by the experience!
Finally we get involved in a serious mission to track two beautiful Golden Eagles that have a nest nearby where we’re anchored in Baddeck, Nova Scotia. It’s a rare treat and we are in total awe of these incredible birds.
