We’ve crossed the Atlantic… but some of the most dangerous waters of our voyage now lie ahead. Leaving Cádiz, Spain, we sail into the Strait of Gibraltar — a passage feared by sailors for two reasons: orcas and traffic.
In recent years, orcas have attacked countless boats along this stretch of coast — ramming hulls, snapping rudders, and even sinking yachts. To protect our boat, we hug the shoreline in shallow water… but that means dodging fishing nets, pods, and shoals that can rise without warning.
And then comes the next trial: the Strait of Gibraltar itself. This narrow gateway between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea is one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world. Giant tankers, cargo ships, and ferries all funnel through the same narrow channel, leaving little room for a small sailboat like ours.
Our destination is Dubai — but first, we must survive this crossing.
⚓ Join us as we navigate danger, dodge orcas, and sail into one of the most legendary straits on Earth.
