We had big plans for our day trip to Sintra, Portugal — with reservations to visit the famous Pena Palace, Castle of the Moors, and Quinta da Regaleira. But just 30 minutes into our train ride from Lisbon, everything changed. Due to a high risk of forest fires, all excursions were suddenly canceled.
While our original plans fell apart, we still made the journey to Sintra and discovered the charm of this UNESCO World Heritage town. From wandering cobblestone streets to exploring the palace grounds, we found a new appreciation for Sintra beyond the typical tourist attractions.

Boating Journey
Thanks for following our Boating Journey. We sold our home, our business and our first boat so we could move onto a liveaboard boat. We sold our 2002 Bayliner 4087 Aft Cabin MY that we moored at Elliott Bay Marina in July 2020 during the pandemic. In 2022, we moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL to be closer to boating opportunities. Our goal is to find a liveaboard slip within the next year and also share with our viewers different ways to can spend time on the water if you don't own a boat. We travel to the Caribbean every year and for 2022, we have chartered a bare boat catamaran and we're headed to the BVIs. Stay tuned!
