UPDATE 05/06/2024: We are happy to report NIMBUS has SOLD!

This STUNNING sailboat needs to be saved! This has been my favorite episode by far. I was invited by Captain Neal Parker to look at this 1937 Alden 39, named NIMBUS. A beautiful, fractional rig sloop designed by John Alden, and launched out of Massachusetts. She is 39'4" LOA with a 10'5" beam and a knockout. Capt. Neal Parker, who does not own the boat, has been asked to find her a new home and for the right non-profit or private buyer it could be yours for free or for $5,000, respectively. HOWEVER, your company, or you, will be vetted by Captain Parker to ensure that NIMBUS is going to to the right home. The deal is that she MUST be restored and put back in the water - as she deserves to be. I my opinion, she will be one of the prettiest boats in any harbor anywhere on the planet. And she could probably go in the water tomorrow - if it weren't November in Maine. As you'll see in the video, a lot of the heavy lifting has been completed - new engine, new wiring, new teak decks, new garboards, new keel bolts, new plank fasteners, and on and on - but a lot of this happened 15 - 20 years ago and the boat hasn't been used since. NIMBUS is in need of love and affection, but it will be worth it because she is absolutely DREAMY.
