Tyler comes back for a quick trip to visit so I’m not too lonely for the holidays and we spend the week surfing and hanging with our friends on Parlay Revival and Kiana. Tyler shares his legs with the crew for New Years celebrations. But it’s time to get down to business when Tyler leaves and Kayleen spends some time in the engine compartment fixing the water pump and an oil leak, as well as a HUGE upgrade to our solar array!
PS. It’s been a few months later and I’ve been so so impressed with our Light Leaf Solar panels. They are a bit of an investment, but after cheaping out on our flexible panels, I have no regrets spending the extra money for such a high quality panel. I’ll chat more later about some stats of production level, but for now here’s the install!

All About Spray Sailing
Tyler and Kayleen left Campbell River, BC summer 2022 on their 1981 Tartan 42’ after spending two years preparing for this journey! Tyler is a bilateral below knee amputee, adapting to the sailing lifestyle with humility. He is a gold medalist in the Beijing 2022 Snowboard Cross. Kayleen grew up cruising with her parents and comes from a family of Mariners. Although she comes from a marketing background, she now is a commercial scuba diver and writes sailing articles on the side.
