On the Hard 1.3: Putting Stuff Back Together and General Update

Progress has been a bit slow this past month, as I’ve been away for work and to surf! Things are ramping up again, so here are the latest updates on Spray.
Spray is a Jason 35′ currently on the hard in Comox, BC. I am prepping her to head south to Mexico and beyond with the help of my dad, Farrell, my partner, Tyler, and my dog, Kirra!
Spray is a Ted Brewer design. She has sailed to Tahiti and back with a previous owner and I have sailed to Hawaii and back on my dad’s boat. Hopefully between her (the boat) and I (who pretends to know what I am talking about), can figure this whole cruising life out!

Tyler and Kayleen left Campbell River, BC summer 2022 on their 1981 Tartan 42’ after spending two years preparing for this journey! Tyler is a bilateral below knee amputee, adapting to the sailing lifestyle with humility. He is a gold medalist in the Beijing 2022 Snowboard Cross. Kayleen grew up cruising with her parents and comes from a family of Mariners. Although she comes from a marketing background, she now is a commercial scuba diver and writes sailing articles on the side.
