On the 70th anniversary of the D Day landings I went to Normandy to trace my Fathers footsteps. In 1944 he landed on Sword beach as part of the allies push into France.
My dream was to stand on the exact place on the exact beach at the exact time 70 years after my Father had been there.
I should have put this video up last year but as my Dad had only recently passed I found it all a little to painful.
I dedicate this video to the memory of those who took part in what was a turning point in European history and the Second World War.
