After sailing to Newfoundland’s remote south coast, we established a wilderness base camp beneath the Nuddick and began exploring a granite wall that, as far as anyone knows, has never been climbed.
This remote Newfoundland climbing expedition has taken months of planning, multiple gear hauls through difficult terrain, and countless miles aboard our wooden sailboat, Arabella. Now the ropes are fixed, the first routes are being scouted, and our attempt to establish new first ascents has officially begun.
