Kristina Costalos is a multimedia force in the world of journalism and travel. With a background in television news reporting and a Bachelor of Communications degree from Bond University, she has honed her skills as a voice-over artist, videographer, and travel YouTuber.
At present, Kristina is documenting her adventures on board the 50ft SV Tucana as she sails along the East Coast of Australia with her boyfriend, John Tilley, an airline pilot and landscape photographer. Each week, she shares her experiences through engaging vlogs.
Before embarking on this journey, Kristina worked as a television news reporter in Darwin, Brisbane, and Melbourne, covering major events such as the Royal Visit of Harry & Meghan and the Australian Open. She and John made the decision to take a break from their careers in 2021 and spend a year sailing around the country. John and Kristina purchased a 50ft Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 50 DS with just a few weeks sailing experience. They set sail from Melbourne and travelled up the East Coast to the Great Barrier Reef as part of their Australian Sailing Series with dreams of one day sailing the world.
Kristina's love of travel and her desire to help others plan their itineraries has led her to launch "Kristina's Travels & Global Travel Guides." With more than 40 countries under her belt and a viewership of over 20 million people worldwide, she offers unique insights and recommendations for travelers. From hot air balloon rides in Cappadocia to sailing the Cyclades Islands in Greece, Kristina inspires wanderlust and encourages people to pursue their travel dreams.
