After a successful motor sail all the way to Charleston, we immediately jump into the project we had been super excited about. The galley overhaul. And step 1 of the overhaul includes taking out two pieces furniture on the boat that can be considered quite controversial - the nav station. The nav station is historically where sailors chart their courses or communicate with other boats. For some it is an indoor helm, for some an office. But for us, it's just a place we can't sit in or get any substantial work done. So it has got to go! But as always, it is not as easy as it looks!

We are Dev (pronounced Dave) and Spandana (pronounced Spun-The-Nuh), a software engineer and developmental behavioral pediatrician, who gave up everything. Less than 6 months after learning how to sail, we bought a sailboat and jumped into full time cruising. Our Turtle is a 40 foot 1993 Caliber who has had 7 owners before us and has even been salvaged once. Join our adventure as we travel the world, collecting memories and barnacles!
